We have many excellent golf courses, plenty of vineyards, miles of surf-able coast line, low traffic roads or aggressive single track trails for biking, dozens of hikes, great ocean and lake fishing, several hot spring and spa choices, incredible dining and lodging options, and thousands of nooks where you can just enjoy nature and leave the daily grind behind.

Getting to San Luis Obispo, California

Getting to San Luis Obispo, California is easy. We have excellent highway access from the north, south, and east.

Coming from the north or south, we recommend finding your way to highway 101. This is a straight shot from the Los Angeles and San Francisco metropolitan areas and will take about four and a half hours from either direction. For the more adventurous, with additional time to spare, we suggest taking highway 1 and experiencing some of the most beautiful coastline in the United States.

Coming from the east, we recommend taking highway 46 west into Paso Robles (another nice stop), and then taking highway 101 south 45 minutes into San Luis Obispo.

San Luis Obispo also has a great airport (airport code 'SBP') if planning on having friends join you, or if you just want to enjoy the San Luis Obispo Concours without entering a vehicle.
